Bill Vaughn Visiting the Dayton .NET Group

We're having a special guest at the August Dayton .NET Developer Group meeting, and I hope you will be able to attend.  We will be hosting INETA speaker Bill Vaughn for a topic that you can have a hand in determining.  Bill has offered four presentation topics that he will to allow us to choose from at the meeting.  The four topics are:

    • Visual Studio Reporting - ReportViewer control, RDL, Reporting Services, in Visual Studio 2008 and SQL 2008
    • SQL Server CLR Executables – Developing CLR executables
    • ADO.NET Connecting – Everything you want to know about connection strings, connecting to servers, and monitoring the connection pool
    • SQL Server Compact Edition – An overview of the compact edition in comparison to other SQL editions, including an overview of the AND.NET 3.5 Sync Services.

You can find more detailed overviews of each session on the Dayton .NET Developer Group forum section.

In addition to the presentation, Bill has also agreed to meet with interested user group members the afternoon of the meeting.  So we will be having an "Open Space with Bill Vaughn" the afternoon of August 27.  We'll be meeting in the community room at Dorothy Lane Market in Springboro, which is just down the road from our normal meeting location at Max Technical Training.  The community room is on the second floor of the store; there's an elevator to the right when you come in and stairs a little farther in to the left.  We will be starting at 3:00 and go to approximately 5:30 when we will move on to the meeting.  I'm sure it will be a great opportunity to meet Bill and talk with him and your fellow group members.
